NEW YORK — Sonja Morgan said Saturday that Dorinda Medley could still surface in E!’s upcoming docuseries “The Golden Life”, which reunites several original “Real Housewives of New York City” stars for a new Palm Beach, Fla., chapter. Her comments highlight how the project is leaning on real relationships — and lingering tensions — as the cast gears up to film this spring, Feb. 7, 2026.

E! announced Feb. 3 that Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer and Kelly Bensimon will headline a 10-episode season in Florida, according to People’s Feb. 3 report on the network’s announcement.

Sonja Morgan keeps the door open for Dorinda Medley

In a Page Six interview on “Virtual Reali-Tea”, Morgan said she “wouldn’t count her out” when asked whether Dorinda Medley could still join, even though Medley has not been announced as part of the lineup.

Morgan acknowledged the pair’s complicated history on “The Real Housewives of New York City,” but suggested familiar chemistry is exactly what viewers expect — and what could make a late addition feel organic.

What E! says “The Golden Life” will cover in Palm Beach

The network is pitching the series as both reinvention and nostalgia: a group with “decades of shared history” starting over in and around Palm Beach, with dating, family and career milestones on the agenda and “unresolved drama” hovering in the background, according to E! Online’s overview of the show.

Industry outlet World Screen reported that the show is produced by Blink49 Studios. Val Boreland, Versant’s president of entertainment, said in a statement that E! is “thrilled to welcome reality TV royalty” for “a reunion fans have been waiting for.”

How the franchise’s recent history shaped this reunion

Medley’s potential involvement is a story thread because she has been both central and absent in recent years. In 2020, Dorinda Medley announced she was leaving the Bravo franchise after five seasons, with a source telling People in 2020 the decision was mutual.

Bravo later rebooted “The Real Housewives of New York City” with a new cast that debuted in 2023, a reset detailed by People when it announced the season 14 premiere date.

In 2023, Peacock’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy” brought Medley back into the mix alongside several familiar faces for a return trip to St. Barts, according to People’s May 2023 reporting on the cast.

Andy Cohen’s take on the RHONY move to E!

Andy Cohen, who helped steward the Bravo “Housewives” universe, also offered public support for the women’s move to E!, saying, “I could never root against these women,” on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live,” according to People’s Feb. 5 coverage of his comments.

What’s next

E! has said filming is set for spring 2026, but a premiere date has not been announced. Whether Dorinda Medley ultimately appears — as a full-time cast member, a guest, or not at all — remains unconfirmed, but Morgan’s message was clear: don’t close the door yet.
