Rihanna House Shooting: Woman Detained After Gunfire Strikes Beverly Hills Home, No Injuries Reported

LOS ANGELES — A woman was detained after gunfire struck Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home Sunday afternoon, with no injuries reported after officers responded to the property, March 8, 2026. Authorities say the suspect fired multiple rounds from a vehicle outside the residence before officers tracked her to Sherman Oaks and took her into custody.

In one of the earliest national summaries of the case, Reuters reported that Rihanna was home when the shots were fired and that authorities were called to the scene at about 1:21 p.m.

Local reporting added more detail. NBC Los Angeles reported that LAPD investigators believe the suspect fired between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15-style rifle, with four rounds striking the house, and that the department’s Robbery-Homicide Division is handling the case.

The Los Angeles Times reported that police radio traffic described at least 10 shots fired from a vehicle across the street from the property’s gate. The paper also reported bullet damage to the gate and an RV parked in the driveway, and said one round penetrated a wall of the home.

CBS Los Angeles reported that the suspect’s white Tesla was found about eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, where she was taken into custody and the weapon was recovered. As of Monday, police had not publicly released the suspect’s name or explained what may have led to the shooting.

Earlier incidents involving Rihanna’s Los Angeles properties

Sunday’s shooting is more serious than the earlier security incidents tied to Rihanna-linked homes in Los Angeles, but it is not the first time police have been called to one of her properties. In 2013, the Los Angeles Times reported that a man was taken into custody after being found on the roof of her Pacific Palisades home.

That pattern resurfaced in 2018, when another Los Angeles Times report detailed the arrest of a 26-year-old man after he allegedly broke into Rihanna’s Hollywood Hills home. Later that year, CBS Los Angeles reported that the same property was broken into again, making it the second reported break-in there that year.

The current investigation remains open. Police have reported no injuries, but the house was struck by gunfire and the suspect remains in custody as detectives continue to work the case.
